🧠 Fun fact
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has a tradition known as “hacks,” which are elaborate and often humorous pranks. One of the most famous hacks occurred in 1994 when students placed a full-sized model of a police car, complete with a doughnut on the dashboard and a stuffed police officer, on the dome of the university’s main building, known as the Great Dome. The car even had the number “MIT Campus Patrol” and the university’s phone number on it! This tradition of creative and harmless pranks is a unique part of MIT’s culture.

This iconic location served as the college where Will Hunting, played by Matt Damon, works as a janitor. The exterior of the building is the McLaurin Building on the MIT campus. It's where Will's remarkable mathematical talents are discovered, setting the stage for the film's central narrative.
