Lower Bay Station in Toronto, also known as Bay Lower, is a “ghost station” located beneath the active Bay Station. It was only in use for six months in 1966 as part of an experimental interlining system where trains could switch between the Bloor-Danforth and Yonge-University lines. The interlining system was quickly abandoned due to operational difficulties, and Lower Bay has been closed to the public ever since. However, it is often used for film and television productions, making it one of Toronto’s most famous secret locations. Movies like “Resident Evil” and “The Shape of Water” have filmed scenes there!
