đ§ Fun fact
Battersea Power Station is famously featured on the cover of Pink Floydâs 1977 album âAnimals.â The cover shows a giant inflatable pig floating between the stationâs chimneys. During the photo shoot, the pig, named Algie, broke free from its moorings and drifted into the flight path of Heathrow Airport, causing a temporary halt to air traffic. It eventually landed in a field in Kent, safely retrieved, and returned to the shoot.
This quirky event not only added to the power stationâs iconic status but also highlighted the imaginative and sometimes chaotic spirit of the 1970s rock scene.
Walk and Inspire
The interior of the old Battersea Power Station serves as the industrial site where Tony recovers and where most of the Imaginarium's daytime scenes take place. Fans should recognize it as a distinctive landmark and may be interested to know that it's one of the few non-Chicago locations used in Heath Ledger's other famous film, "The Dark Knight." The power station itself is an impressive piece of architecture and adds a unique dimension to the film's visual storytelling.
